Revolutionizing the world of rumble, the Jazz BassĀ® directly evolved from the foundation the Precision BassĀ® had established, with its offset body, narrow nut width and added neck pickup. The Limited Edition 1964 Journeyman RelicĀ® J BassĀ® brandishes time-correct features like hand-wound vintage Jazz BassĀ® pickups designed with 2 pole pieces per string to provide a mellower "jazzy" tone, and signature FenderĀ® Custom Shop Journeyman aged lacquer which has some "play wear" like a classic that has been looked after but has not been hidden under the bed
In true Custom Shop fashion, tradition meets modern playability in this J BassĀ®. This bass combines a 2-piece select alder body and a quartersawn maple neck with a " '60 J BassĀ® U"-shaped neck profile,Ā rosewood fingerboard, 9.5" radius, and 20 6105 frets.
Additional features include period-accurate Jazz BassĀ® bridge, vintage-style Jazz BassĀ® tuners, bone nut and round string tree. Includes deluxe hardshell case, strap and Certificate of Authenticity.
